M_Neuro-Memory and Aging

Andrew earned his B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles. There he studied sex differences and pathological interventions for Multiple Sclerosis in the MacKenzie-Graham lab, first as an undergraduate volunteer and later as a full-time staff researcher collaborating with the Voskuhl and Waschek Labs. His background and interest in neurodegenerative disease led him to UCSF, where he works with Dr. Lane-Donovan to investigate lysosomal dysfunctions in aging and associated neurodegenerative contexts using relevant murine and in vitro models. He will be departing in the fall to start his PhD training, and in his free time he likes to play basketball (if his knees allow it), read, and walk dogs.
